تعریف رشته بهداشت عمومی:

• بهداشت عمومی شاخه اساسی علوم بهداشتی است. دانش آموختگان آن در جهت حفاظت، ارتقاء و بازسازی سلامت افراد جامعه فعالیت می کنند. دانش آموختگان این رشته باید مجهز به مجموعه ای از علوم، مهارتها و اعتقاداتی باشند که در جهت حفظ، توسعه و ارتقاء سلامت جامعه تلاش نمایند.

اهداف رشته بهداشت عمومی:

تربیت نیروهایی که:    

1-   با آگاهی و  عملکرد همسو با نیازهای محیط، جامعه، خانواده و فرد و با ارزیابی و ارزشیابی عوامل خطر و مداخله و تغییر در سطح بهداشت محیط، جامعه، خانواده و فرد آشنا باشند.

2-   از چگونگی اثر گذاری عوامل انسانی، محیطی، اقتصادی و اجتماعی بر چگونگی تامین، حفظ و ارتقاء سلامتی در سطوح مختلف  جامعه آشنا باشند.

3-   از چگونگی مداخله از طریق نیاز سنجی ها، آموزش بهداشت، کنترل اپیدمی ها، مراقبت  تغذیه ای و تغییر در شاخص های سلامتی در سطح جامعه آگاهی داشته باشند.

Public health

Public health is the basic branch of health sciences. Its graduates work to protect, promote and restore the health of people in the community. Graduates of this field must be equipped with a set of sciences, skills and beliefs that strive to maintain, develop and promote the health of society.

Objectives

Training of forces that:

1- To be familiar with the knowledge and practice in line with the needs of the environment, society, family and individual  and the assessment of risk factors , intervention and as well as change in the level of environmental health, society, family and individual.

2- To be familiar with how human, environmental, economic and social factors affect how to ensure, maintain and promote health at different levels of society.

3- Be aware of how to intervene through needs assessments, health education, epidemic control, nutritional care and changes in health indicators at the community level.
